All organizations involved in roadway\, streets\, and parking lots are encouraged to participate as we align across agencies and teams for the upcoming season.Led by the Utah Asphalt Pavement Association (UAPA)\, and supported by UDOT and UHP\, this program is partially funded through a safety grant from the State of Utah.The course provides a practical foundation before the first ton is placed\, focusing on:PPE and working safely around asphalt and maintenance equipmentWork-zone safety in parking lots\, side roads\, streets\, highways\, and freewaysEffective daily kickoff meetings ("Toolbox Talks / Tailgate Talks / Pre-Task Briefings") with proactive "what-if" planningMental preparedness\, fatigue awareness\, and stop-work authorityEmergency response\, documentation\, notification protocols\, and risk managementPre-Season: Get Your Head in the Game ensures everyone from owners to field crews starts the season aligned\, prepared\, and committed to getting everyone home safely every day.Held Wednesday April 1st\, 2026 Please ARRIVE by 7:45 am   class begins at 8:00am   class ends by 10:30am.
